  • Website: http://www.andechs.de/nc/en.html
  • Brew: Andechs Weissbier Dunkel
  • Style: Dunkelweizen
  • Serving: 12 ounce bottle
  • ABV: 5.0%
  • Ingredients: "Hallertau aroma hops and highest quality Bavarian wheat and dark barley malts."
  • Pour: Dark maroon in color with a bold, 2-finger light mocha head
  • Nose: A wonderful blend of fruit ester bready and malty sweetness.  Aromas of plantains, banana, plum, raisin, and undertones of caramel, toffee, and cocoa along with hearty bread.
  • Taste: Very complex flavors of baked bread, caramel sweetness, and slight hoppy bitterness along with fruit and spice flavors.  There are notes of roasted malt, Tootsie Roll, soft banana, cloves, apple, bread dough, hearty barley, dates and figs, and bitter Hallertau.
  • Mouthfeel: Full-bodied, smooth and velvety, yet refreshing.
  • Finish: From start to finish, the Andechs Weissbier Dunkel is bold and complex flavors that linger in a very pleasant way!
Overall pairing: The complexity and depth of the Andechs Weissbier Dunkel is a great companion to the meaty heaviness of Masterplan's brilliant album "Aeronautics"!!

Prost!!  Hails!!
