    Brew Info:
  • Brewery: Epic Brewing Company (Denver, Colorado)
  • Website: http://www.epicbrewing.com/
  • Brew: Lil' Brainless Raspberries
  • Style: Belgian-style fruit/vegetable beer
  • Serving: 12 ounce can
  • ABV: 5.2%
  • Pour: A hazy rosy wine-red with a very thin white head that dissipates quickly.
  • Nose: The nose if very organic.  It is like sticking your face in a raspberry patch!
  • Taste: Tart, fruity, and refreshing, the Lil' Brainless Raspberries is wheaty, fruity, and punchy.  There are notes of raspberry jam, lemon juice, pink bubble-gum, raspberry soda-pop, Belgian yeast, wheat bread, greens, and an almost infinitesimal hint of chocolate.
  • Mouthfeel: Light-bodied with moderate carbonation, the mouthfeel is crisp, refreshing, and dry with a tart finish.
Overall pairing: I think the tart and crisp  characteristics of the Lil' Brainless Raspberries make for an interesting pairing with Captain Beyond's only live album. The organic flavor of the brew really works well with the organic musical brilliance that was the original Captain Beyond!  I picked up this brilliant album from my buddy Kevin at the Heavy Metal Shop ( www.heavymetalshop.com)... check it out!!

Cheers!!
