• Pour: It pours a dark Coca-Cola red-brown with a thin, but creamy light mocha head that has great retention with layered and bubbly lacing.
• Nose: The nose of the Sea Dog Hazelnut Porter is nutty, bready, malty, and earthy.  There are big aromas roasted hazelnut and walnut along with cocoa, hints of light coffee, vanilla bean, fresh cream, marshmallow, hearty bread, and sweet caramel.
• Taste: The taste follows the nose, although a bit smokier and slightly more astringent.  There are notes of roasted hazelnut, hazelnut syrup, medium-roast coffee, bitter black walnut, hints of vanilla and cream, hints of caramel, and oak.
