• Pour: The Esprit de Corpse: I pours a hazy golden yellow with a thin, bright white head that dissipates quickly, leaving only a small, bubbly ring with little lacing.
• Nose: The nose is earthy, fruity, and slightly funky.  There are aromas of lemony tang, wet leather, horse blanket, white wine, pear, green grapes, green apple, stinky cheese, Brett, wild mountain flowers, fresh herbs, and crackery grains.
• Taste: The taste of the Esprit de Corpse: I is fruity, funky, grainy, and woody.  There are notes of barnyard funk, oak, lemon, orange peel, pear juice, chardonnay, light herbal tea, light spices, and light grains.
• Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied and well-carbonated, the mouthfeel of the Esprit de Corpse: II is characterized by lots of bubbly effervescence, .

Overall pairing: The Esprit de Corpse: I is a wonderfully complex and very drinkable brew with lots of wild yeast and fruit flavors and aromas!  This inviting complexity makes it a worthy brew for the power, aggression, and artistic honesty of Gojira's wonderfully brutal "L'Enfant Sauvage"!!
