  • Musical style: Hard rock, heavy metal, power pop
  • Sound: Admittedly, "Running Wild" is not there best album and came out in a turbulent time in the band's history with the departure of Kelly Johnson.  That being said, the album is still a fun, fast-paced rocker with lots of great hooks, riffs, and solos!  Highlights on the album include "Running Wild", "Something For Nothing", "Nasty Nasty", and a pretty good cover of "Do You Love Me?"!
  • Major themes: Life, love, relationships, rock and roll, lust, rebellion, etc.
  • Notes: Oddly enough, "Running Wild" was only released in America in 1985.
  • Tracks:

  2. "Running Wild"
  3. "Do You Love Me?" (Kiss cover)
  4. "Something For Nothing"

  10. "Can't See You"

Brew Info:
  • Brewery: The Bruery (Placentia, California)
  • Website: https://www.thebruery.com/
  • Brew: Mischief  Hoppy Belgian-Style Ale
  • Style: Belgian Strong Pale Ale
  • Serving: 16 ounce can
  • ABV: 8.5%
  • IBUs: 35
  • Pour: The Mischief pours a hazy, golden-caramel color with a frothy, bright white, 1-finger head with good retention and sticky lacing.
  • Nose: The nose is fruity, sweet, citrusy, rustic, pastoral, and lightly grainy.  There are aromas of lemon zest and juice, pear, apple, banana, grapefruit, mango, wet leather, a little barnyard funk, and subtle hints of spice.
  • Taste: The taste of the Mischief is fruity, citrusy, earthy, rustic, and a little funky.  There are notes of  green apple, pear juice, pink grapefruit juice, orange, soft banana, Belgian yeast, a little Brett, and light spice.
  • Mouthfeel: Medium in body and fairly well-carbonated, the mouthfeel is very crisp, a little sharp, and very refreshing with a dry, clean finish.
Overall pairing: The Mischief Hoppy Belgian-Style Ale from The Bruery is very drinkable and somewhat punchy brew... great for the rock and roll ferocity of the legendary Girlschool and their album "Running Wild"!  Those bright, fruity notes go great with the upbeat, fast-paced rockin' guitar work!

Cheers!!  Hails!!
