  • Sound: This is pure, straightforward, uncomplicated L.A. metal with no apology and an unquenched hunger for sex and booze!  Blackie and the boys' album is a no-holds-barred juggernaut of an album!  These two albums are pure adrenaline and testosterone.  Songs like title track "Helldorado", "Damnation Angels", "High On Flames", and "Can't Die Tonight" blast you with power, aggression, and bold flavour and the live cuts on "The Sting" are fantastic although the sound is a little rough.  And Holmes' guitar is as fiery and masterful as always!

  • Website: http://roadhousebrewery.com/
  • Brew: Honey Drip Honey Basil Kölsch
  • Style: German Kölsch
  • Serving: 12 ounce can
  • ABV: 5.0%
  • Pour: The Honey Drip pours a crystal clear golden-yellow with a frothy, bright white 2-finger head with great retention and lots of soapy lacing throughout.
  • Nose: The nose is grassy, bready, slightly sweet, spicy, and herbal.  There are aromas of summer grass, green hops, German yeast, sourdough bread, light biscuit, rich and earthy honey, and a touch of basil and mint.
  • Taste: The taste of the Honey Drip follows the nose with grassy, bready, herbal, and spicy flavors.  There are notes of crackery biscuit, soft honey blended well in the malt notes in the back, green hops, light basil, and light white pepper.
  • Mouthfeel: Light-bodied and well-carbonated, the mouthfeel is very crisp, bubbly, dry, and smooth with a clean, dry finish.

Overall pairing: The of Roadhouse's Honey Drip Honey Basil Kölsch is the perfect brew for a hot summer day and for the fast-paced sonic metal blast of W.A.S.P.'s "The Sting: Live at the Key Club L.A." and "Helldorado" 2 CD Set!  'Nuff said!

Prost!!  Hails!!
