Good evening and happy Wednesday rockers and craft brew drinkers!  Your pal the Meista here tonight pairing Queen's amazing album "A Night At The Opera" and a very crushable and tasty Bohemian IPL from Roosters Brewing Company!

  • Pour: The Bohemian Style IPL pours a clear golden-yellow with a frothy and solid 1-finger head with good sustain and lots of soapy lacing.
  • Nose: The nose is citrusy, crackery, floral, and slightly sweet.  There are aromas of grapefruit, lemon zest, summer grass, mountain flowers, sourdough bread, crackery biscuit, fresh herbs, and white pepper.
  • Taste: The taste of the Bohemian Style IPL is a blend of a crisp Pilsner and a hoppy IPA and characterized by citrusy, spicy, and crackery malty flavors.  There are notes of lemon zest, grapefruit, freshly baked sourdough bread, light caramel, and light pepper.
  • Mouthfeel: Light to medium in body and well-carbonated, the mouthfeel is very crisp and smooth with a dry, clean finish.  

Overall pairing:  The Bohemian Style IPL is a very crushable, crisp, and refreshing brew... great for the hard rockin' that is Queen's "A Night At The Opera"!  Those crisp, slightly sweet, complex, hoppy notes pair so very well with the hard hitting punch of the classic and truly brilliant "A Night At The Opera"!
