Guten abend beer freaks and hard rockers!  The Meista here tonight pairing Queen's classic "News Of The World" with a bright and crisp Landgang Pils from Landgang Brauerei!

  • Pour: The Landgang Pils pours clear, bright golden-yellow with lot of tiny effervescent bubbles and a firm, foamy, bright white, 1+ finger head with good retention and lots of soapy lacing.
  • Nose: The nose is grainy, grassy, and slightly fruity.  There are aromas of doughy bread, freshly cut hay, June grass, crackery biscuit, a touch of lemon zest, and a hint of ripe apple.
  • Taste: The taste is characterized by bright, crackery, grassy, and fruity flavors.  There are notes of crackery biscuit, cracked wheat, lemon zest, grassy hops, light apple, pear, and a zesty white pepper finish.
  • Mouthfeel: Light-bodied and well-carbonated, the mouthfeel is very crisp, yet smooth with a dry,  clean finish.
Overall pairing: The bright, crisp, easy drinking flavors of the Landgang Pils make it the perfect brew for throwing back whilst rocking out to the bombastic, heavy-duty rock and roll explosion that is Queen's classic "News Of the World"!  I also think the Landgang sailor on the label looks a little like Freddie Mercury!  Ha!
