Greetings headbangers and hop-heads!  Your drinking buddy the Meista here rocking the hell out with a pairing of "Penetration Point", the wonderful 3rd album by Florida speed/thrash metal band Nasty Savage and a tasty and juicy Planet Lovetron IPA from Revision Brewing Company!

  • Pour: The Planet Lovetron pours a very hazy golden-yellow with a frothy, bright white, 1-finger head with good retention and lots of sudsy, sticky lacing.
  • Nose: The nose is very citrusy, fruity, and floral.  There are aromas of orange juice, tangerine, peach, apricot, pineapple, mango, wild flowers, and soft caramel/toffee.
  • Taste: Hop-forward, the taste of the Planet Lovetron is citrusy, fruity, and malty.  There are notes of orange juice, tangerine, peach, pink grapefruit juice, mango, pineapple, guava, melon, grassy hops, sweet caramel, and an ever so slight hint of booze.  
  • Mouthfeel: Medium to full-bodied with moderate carbonation, the mouthfeel is very crisp and very juicy, yet smooth with a dry finish.

Overall pairing: The Revision Planet Lovetron is a complex and juicy brew with lots of juicy citrus flavor, which makes it a great beer to throw back to the complex intensity of the riffs, vocals, and thunderous rhythm section of  Nasty Savage!  'Nuff said!
