  • Website: https://2rowbrewing.com/
  • Brew: Limited Release Beer #2: Happy Day IPA
  • Style: American IPA (IPA)
  • Serving: 12 ounce bottle
  • ABV: 7.4%
  • Pour: The Happy Day IPA pours a hazy golden-orange amber with a creamy, bright white 2-finger head with great retention and intricate spider web lacing.
  • Nose: The nose is very fruity (tropical and citrus), floral, malty, and sweet.  There are aromas of pineapple juice, grapefruit rind, tangerine, mango, guava, stone fruits (peach and apricot), wildflowers, herbal tea, sweet caramel, and just a hint of pine.
  • Taste: The taste follows the nose... very citrusy, fruity, and malty.  There are big flavors of pineapple, orange pith, tangerine, and mango along with herbal tea, soft pine, and soft caramel.
  • Mouthfeel: Medium to full-bodied and moderately carbonated, the mouthfeel of the Happy Day IPA is crisp and hoppy with a dry and slightly bitter finish.

Overall pairing: The delightful citrusy aromas and flavors and the complex, yet crushability of the Happy Day IPA makes for an excellent pairing with the amazing Bob Geldof!  'Nuff said!

Sláinte chugat my friends!
