  • Pour: The King Crispy pours a clear, bright yellow color with a frothy, bright white, half-finger head with good retention and sudsy lacing.
  • Nose: The nose is grainy, malty, floral, and slightly spicy. There are aromas of crackery biscuit, sourdough, cracked wheat, freshly cut hay, and light spices.
  • Taste: The taste of the King Crispy follows the nose with grainy, grassy, and slightly spicy flavors.  There are notes of a crackery biscuit, Pilsner malt, grassy hops, wheat bread, sourdough bread, a hint of crisp apple, and a hint of white pepper.
  • Mouthfeel: Light-bodied with moderate carbonation, the mouthfeel is crisp, yet smooth with a dry, clean finish.

Overall pairing: The crisp, grainy, and very drinkable flavors and aromas of the Deschutes King Crispy work great as a foil to the heavy-duty doom metal/stoner rock approach of the one-man juggernaut that is Transylvania Stud!  You can definitely crush a few of these tasty brews whilst spinning the fist-pumping tunes on "The Red Queen"!  'Nuff said!

Cheers and hails!!
