Boa noite and buenos noches my friends!  Happy Friday!  The Meister here tonight pairing the kick-ass "SepulQuarta" from Brazilian thrash/groove metal monsters Sepultura and a crisp and tasty Cultura Cerveza from head brewer Jacquie King Wright and all the fine folks at the Ogden Beer Company!  Hell yeah!

  • Pour: The Cultura pours a clear golden-yellow with a billowy, bright white, 2-finger head with great retention and lots of sticky, intricate lacing.
  • Nose: The nose is a characterized by grainy, fruity, and malty aromas.  There are aromas of cracked wheat, light cereal grains, corn meal, lemon zest, a hint of apple, and a hint of honey.
  • Taste: Very well-balanced, the Cultura has a nice blend of grainy, fruity, and malty flavors.  There are notes of crackery biscuit, light corn, doughy bread, lemon and lime zest, and a hint of honey.
  • Mouthfeel: Light in body and well-carbonated, the mouthfeel is very smooth with a crisp and refreshing profile.  The finish is dry and very clean. 

Overall pairing: The Ogden Beer Company Cultura Cerveza is a great brew to pair with "SepulQuarta" for the simple fact that it goes down easy, but is full-flavored, complex, crisp, and has a crushable character ... a great beer to pound whilst banging your head and pumping your fists to the might and power that is Sepultura!!
