• Pour: The Red Ale pours a fairly clear, deep mahogany red with a billowy and creamy, light beige, 2+ finger head with great sustain and lots of sudsy, sticky, and layered lacing.
• Nose: The nose is characterized by bready, malty, nutty, and hoppy notes.  There are aromas of sweet biscuit, doughy bread, roasted hazelnuts, pine resin, herbal tea, and sweet caramel.
• Taste: Wonderfully well-balanced, the taste of The Red Ale follows the nose with lots of malty, nutty, hoppy, and herbal flavors.  There are notes of bready malts, roasted nuts, herbal tea, orange zest, light pine, and sweet caramel/toffee.

Overall pairing: The Red Ale from Fisher Brewing Company is well-balanced, flavorful, and hearty... perfect for the aggression and bombast of Semblant's killer "Vermilion Eclipse" album!  Those sweet and malty notes go great with the soaring guitars, keys, and female vocals, while the bitter hops got great with the more aggressive elements and the malty backbone is on par with the heavy-duty rhythm section.  'Nuff said!
