  • Musical style: Hard rock, rock and roll, glam rock, and punk rock
  • Sound: I realize this album got a lot of flak when it was originally released, but I think it is lots of fun!  This is fist-pumping, good-time, heavy-duty rock and roll!  The renditions are rockin', raw, wonderfully executed, and entertaining as hell!  And I think McKagan nails Johnny Thunders!
  • Major themes: Pain, jealousy, love, loss, drinking, aggressive behavior, rebellion, etc.
  • Notes: The album's title is an inside joke referring to a food fight between Axl Rose and ex-drummer Steven Adler.  At the bottom album cover, there is a code written with the Zodiac Killer's symbols, which means "fuck'em all".

  • Style: Italian Pilsner / German Pilsner

  • Pour: The Spaghetti Western pours a slightly cloudy, bright golden yellow hue with a bubbly, half-finger white head with good retention and soapy lacing.
  • Nose: The nose is grainy, floral, slightly citrusy, and malty.  There are aromas of grassy hops, light orange zest, lemon zest, smooth caramel/toffee, and crackery biscuit.
  • Taste: The taste of the Spaghetti Western follows the nose with grassy, malty, grainy, and lightly citrusy flavors.  There are notes of pale malt, grassy hops, lemongrass, lemon zest, freshly baked wheat bread, and hints of soft toffee.
  • Mouthfeel: Light to medium-bodied and well carbonated, the mouthfeel is very crisp and smooth, with a dry, clean finish.

Overall pairing: The Silver Reef Spaghetti Western Italian Style Pilsner is tasty and very crushable brew... perfect for the hard rockin' good vibes of Guns N' Roses "The Spaghetti Incident?" album!  Those crisp, bright notes really make Slash's guitar work and McKagan's bass work pop!  The easy drinkability of the beer is perfect for the more fast-paced punk songs while those malty notes go well with the slower, meatier numbers!

Cheers!!
