  • Pour: The Violent Fire pours a clear, bright yellow hue with a bright white, frothy, half-finger head with good retention and soapy lacing.
  • Nose: The nose is hoppy, grainy, and floral.  There are aromas of green melon rind, white peach, light tangerine, lemon zest, wildflowers, lemongrass, and cereal grain.
  • Taste: The taste of the Violet Fire is characterized by grainy, grassy, floral, citrusy, and nutty flavors.  There are notes of crackery biscuit, grassy hops, lemongrass, peach, light grape, juicy melon, coconut, and light caramel.
  • Mouthfeel: Light-bodied and well-carbonated, the mouthfeel is very crisp and juicy, yet soft and smooth, with a dry, clean finish.

Overall pairing: The very crushable flavors and aromas of the Violet Fire make it
the perfect beer for an afternoon of heavy duty headbanging with the mighty Sylent Storm!  Those hoppy, citrusy notes are great for the aggressive machine gun fire guitars and drums, while the sweeter and grainer aromas and flavors are a great companion to Harris' soaring vocals!
