- Pour: The Red Devil pours an opaque, deep mahogany red hue with a billowy and creamy, off-white, 1-finger head with great retention and lots of sticky, intricate lacing.
- Nose: The nose is a characterized by malty, bready, floral, earthy, and sweet aromas. There are aromas of floral hops, light onion, freshly baked bread, roasted malts, toasted barley, roasted hazelnut, and sweet, burnt toffee.
- Taste: Well-balanced, the Red Devel has malty, bready, sweet, and hoppy flavors. There are notes of rich toffee and caramel, toasted bread, toasted barley, floral hops, and light honey.
- Mouthfeel: Medium in body and moderately carbonated, the mouthfeel is hearty, yet crisp and smooth with a dry, slightly bitter, yet clean finish.
Overall pairing: The Ogden Beer Company's Red Devil is a hearty, yet very crushable brew... great for the "devil metal" onslaught that is the mighty Nunslaughter! Thematically and visually, the beer works great with the album cover/picture disc art too! 'Nuff said!
