Hey there headbangers and hop freaks!  Your drinking buddy the Meista here with another killer pairing for ya!  Today, I'm pairing "Present Day", the debut album by progressive / power metal band Katagory V with a delicious and hoppy Cold Hearted Women Love IPA Cold India Pale Ale from the fine folks at Silver Reef Brewing Company!

• Pour: The Cold Hearted Women pours a clear, bright golden yellow hue with a bubbly, thin white head with good retention and light soapy lacing.
• Nose: The nose is hoppy, floral, citrusy, and grainy.  There are aromas of lime, grassy hops, lemon zest, and crackery biscuit.
• Taste: The taste of the Cold Hearted Women follows the nose with grassy, grainy, and lightly citrusy flavors.  There are notes of pale malt, grassy hops, lemongrass, lemon zest, mineral water, freshly baked wheat bread, and hints of soft toffee.
• Mouthfeel: Light to medium-bodied and well carbonated, the mouthfeel is very crisp, dry, and refreshing, with a dry, clean finish.

Overall pairing: The Silver Reef Cold Hearted Women Love IPA is a bright, crisp, and very crushable brew... perfect for the progressive and heavy stylings of Katagory V on their excellent "Present Day" album!  And the beer label and album art cover look great together as well!  'Nuff said!
