  • Website: https://lonepinebrewery.com
  • Brew: Allen's Coffee Breakfast Stout
  • Style: Breakfast Milk Stout
  • Serving: 16 ounce can
  • ABV: 4.8%
  • Ingredients: Columbus hops and Silo, Carafa III, Golden Naked Oats, Flaked Oats, and Pale Chocolate malts along with Allen’s Coffee Extract, lactose and oat milk
  • Pour: The Allen's Coffee Breakfast Stout pours an opaque, deep, dark brown (almost black) hue with a half-finger, light mocha head with good retention and soapy lacing.
  • Nose: The nose is roasty, toasty, malty, earthy, and sweet.  There are aromas of dark roasted coffee beans, dark chocolate, cocoa, roasted walnuts, soft caramel/toffee, and creamy oats.
  • Taste: Like the nose, the taste of the Allen's Coffee Breakfast Stout is earthy, toasty, roasty, and slightly sweet.  There are notes of rich, dark roasted coffee, nutty malts, dark toasted bread, oats, fresh cream, and burnt toffee.
  • Mouthfeel: Medium to full-bodied with low carbonation, the mouthfeel of the Allen's Coffee Breakfast Stout is smooth, creamy, and velvety with a semi-sweet, dry finish.

Overall pairing: The Allen's Coffee Breakfast Stout from Lone Pine Brewing Company is a complex, flavorful, and roasty brew... great for the hard rockin' goodness that is Trespass "The Works II" album!  The sweeter flavors go great with the soaring guitar work while the bitterness from the coffee is great for the aggressive kick!

Hails!!  Rock on!!
