  • Style: New England-style India Pale Ale (IPA)
  • Serving: 12 ounce can
  • ABV: 5.0%
  • Ingredients: Galaxy hops
  • Pour: The Blue Coyote pours a slightly hazy golden-orange color with a frothy, 2-finger, off-white head with great retention and lots of sticky, sudsy lacing.
  • Nose: The nose is citrusy, herbal, tropical, and malty.  There are aromas of grapefruit rind, orange zest, herbal tea, wildflowers, a hint of onion, and sweet toffee.
  • Taste: The taste of the Blue Coyote follows the nose with citrusy, tropically fruity, and malty flavors.  There are notes of pink grapefruit juice, orange zest and pith, tangerine, soft caramel/toffee, bready malts, black pepper, and black tea.
  • Mouthfeel: Medium to full-bodied with moderate carbonation, the mouthfeel is crisp and juicy, yet oily and thick with a bittersweet and dry finish.

Overall pairing: The complex and citrusy flavors of Shades' Blue Coyote are great for the inviting and wondrously progressive musical journey that is the mighty Badger!  That sweet, malty backbone is great for the warm melodies and heavy-duty rhythm section, while the hoppy bite is great for the fiery guitar and soaring keys!

Cheers!!  Rock on!!
