Hey there headbangers and hop freaks!  Happy Wednesday!  Your drinking buddy the Meista here with another killer pairing for ya!  Today, I'm pairing "When Eternity Ends", the kickass, 3rd album by progressive / power metal band Severed Angel with a delicious and crisp from Death By Pilsner from Vice Beer!  Hell yeah!  And apologies to my friends in Severed Angel for taking so long to get a pairing with this album done!

• Pour: The Death By Pilsner pours a clear, golden yellow hue with a very thin, bright white head that dissipates fairly quickly, leaving light lacing.
• Nose: The nose is grainy, grassy, and slightly citrusy.  There are aromas of freshly cut hay, cracked wheat, Saltine crackers, lemongrass, a hint of lemon zest, and a splash of honey.
• Taste: The taste of the Death By Pilsner is characterized by grainy, crackery, floral, and grassy flavors.  There are notes of crackery biscuit, light grassy hops, lemongrass, lemon zest, and a hint of honey. 
• Mouthfeel: Light to light-medium in body and well-carbonated, the mouthfeel is very crisp, yet very smooth with a dry, clean finish.

Overall pairing: The Vice Beer's Death By Pilsner is a very inviting, yet complex and flavorful brew... a great brew for the progressive, intricate, and heavy stylings of Severed Angel on their excellent "When Eternity Ends" album!  'Nuff said!
