Hello and welcome! This silly blog is an experiment in my own vanity in terms of my opinions on craft beer and music and various pairings (much like you would do with food). I definitely want to express that I am no expert in terms of brewing or in musical composition. This is merely opinion, my opinion (sometimes clouded by consumption) with regards to enjoyable beers and music. Cheers! November 3rd, 2015 - Flying Saucer Draught Emporium
(Fischbox here) Wandering today and dropping in at the long anticipated, Flying Saucer Draught Emporium in Ft Worth, TX. Over 80 beers on tap and a few hundred more in bottles. I'm chasing some burny chicken wings with the local (5.7%) Collective Project, Mustache Rye'D Porter (until today I was a Rye Porter virgin but being a Rye fanboy, I'm thrilled to have popped that cherry). Finishing off my taste buds with a Clown Shoes - Josh the Revelator double IPA (9.2%). - Gotta go walk these off.. If you stumble across a Flying Saucer (about a dozen locations across TX and the South), drop in and enjoy. - Shit, wait - they have a IPA from Houston called Saint Arnold Art Car.. So yeah, that's happening too. - - Ordering a Bud Light here is like asking for a hug in a whorehouse.. Cheers.
