- Pour: The Beer X pours a hazy yellow-gold with a frothy, bright white, 2+ finger head with great retention and lots of intricate spider web lacing.

- Taste: The taste is fruity, sweet, and hoppy. There are notes of orange juice, lemon zest, grapefruit, bitter herbs, pepper, light grains, and a hint of caramel (especially as it warms).
- Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied with moderate carbonation, the mouthfeel of the Beer X is crisp, slightly bitter, and refreshing with a dry, slightly peppery finish.
Overall pairing: I was lucky enough to see The Agonist live Monday night in Salt Lake City on their tour with Fleshgod Apocalypse... mind-blowing!! I picked up "Five" at the show. I've been listening to it non-stop ever since... and coupled with Shades Of Pale's Beer X?... perfection! The aggressive hop flavors of the Beer X is perfect for the extreme metal intensity and artistic integrity of The Agonist!
Cheers and hails head bangers!!
