October 13th, 2017 - Ya Better Watch Out For The Amputator On Ten 13!

In celebration of Sammy Hagar's 70th birthday and Friday the 13th, today I'm pairing an Amputator India Pale Ale from Butcherknife Brewing Company with "Ten 13" by Sammy Hagar and The Waboritas!  Oh hell yeah!!

• Pour: The Amputator India Pale Ale pours a clear, copper-amber hue with a thin, but creamy off-white head with good sustain and sudsy lacing.
• Nose: The nose is malty, earthy, and piney.  There are aromas of sweet and bready malt, caramel, pine resin, cedar, and black tea.
• Taste: The taste of the Amputator India Pale Ale follows the nose with a balance of sweet malt and bitter hops.  There are notes of caramel, fresh bread, bold pine, black tea, and bitter herbs and spices.
