Good evening headbangers and craft beer fanatics! The Meista here tonight with a pairing of Sepultura's heavy as hell "Kairos" and an equally as heavy Troubadour Magma Belgian Triple IPA from Brouwerij De Musketiers!

- Musical style: Thrash metal, death, metal, groove metal with elements of tribal world music and industrial metal
- Sound: Aggressive, intense, and in-your-face
- Major themes: The ancient Greek word "kairos" can be defined as the proper or opportune time for action or crucial moments in time that impact unfolding events. Of the album, Kisser stated: "The whole theme of the album is the concept of the time, and the title reflects that — it's like one concept of time which is not chronological, from one to two; it's like an instant in time, it's a special time of change... Everyone's life is written by [their] choices — you have many 'kairos' moments, like if you go [from] point A [to point] B [to point] C, you are driven by your choices or your guidance; you have to go either one way or the other. And that's the kind of time we talked about — not about aging or getting old or going back [in time]; it's just [about those important] moments that can change everything. It's a collection of 'kairos' that [got us] here. It's being inspired by our own biography, but mostly [focusing] on what Sepultura is today."

- Taste: The taste of the Troubadour Magma is malty, bready, sweet, bitter, hoppy, and spicy. There are notes of Belgian yeast, soft banana, dark fruit, Tootsie Rolls, dark fruits (raisin, fig, dates), lemon zest, caramel, toffee, black pepper, and grassy hops.
- Mouthfeel: Full-bodied with moderate carbonation, the mouthfeel is bold, somewhat thick, malty, and dry with a slightly bitter finish.
Overall pairing: The power, depth, and intensity of Sepultura's "Kairos" requires a brew of big flavor, bold complexity, and big ABV... exactly what you find in a bottle of Brouwerij De Musketiers' Troubadour Magma Belgian Triple IPA!
Cheers!! Hails!!
