- Nose: The nose is fruity, rich, earthy, chocolaty, and somewhat smoky. There are aromas of dark fruits (raisins, black cherries, plums, etc), soft banana, cocoa, grape, pear, and a little booze.
- Taste: The taste of the Unibroue is fruity, malty, rich, and sweet. There are notes of pear juice, soft banana, raisin bread, black cherries, plums, and a hint of spiced Jamaican rum and molasses.
- Mouthfeel: Medium to full-bodied with lots of effervescence, the mouthfeel is frothy, smooth, and a little boozy with a dry, crisp finish.
