    Brew Info:
  • Brewery: TRVE Brewing Company (Denver, Colorado)

  • Brew: Jewel Throne Mixed Culture Golden Ale on Colorado Apricots
  • Style: Wild American Ale / Farmhouse Ale / Saison
  • Serving: 12 ounce bottle
  • ABV: 5.5%
  • Pour: The Jewel Throne pours a very hazy, bright yellow hue with a bright white, foamy, 1-finger head that dissipates quickly to a thin ring and leaves virtually no lacing
  • Nose: The nose is earthy, fruity, and funky. There are aromas of juniper, light lemon, straw, dried and fresh apricot, wet leather, and barnyard funk.
  • Taste: With loads of tart fruit flavors, the taste of the Jewel Throne is tart, fruity, slightly grainy, and funky.  There are notes of dried apricot, lemon zest, lemon juice, juniper berries, Belgian yeast, and barnyard funk.
  • Mouthfeel: Medium in body and moderately carbonated, the mouthfeel is very crisp, biting, and funky with a very dry finish.

Overall pairing: The dank, funky, hop-forward and bitterly aggressive flavors of Jewel Throne are the perfect brew for the groundbreaking brutality of Celtic Frost's earth-shattering album "To Mega Therion"!  Both are big, bold, angry, and impactful!
