- Pour: The Atla pours a very hazy, golden yellow hue with a bright white, foamy, 1-finger head that dissipates to a thin film and leaves soapy lacing.
- Nose: The nose is funky, floral, fruity, and earthy. There are aromas of juniper, pine, lemondrops, orange zest, dried apricot, pineapple, candied mango, wild flowers, wet leather, and a little barnyard funk.
- Taste: Kveik-forward, the taste of the Atla is earthy, and funky. There are notes of dried apricot, lemon zest, orange, zest, juniper berries, Kveik yeast, and barnyard funk.
- Mouthfeel: Medium in body and moderately carbonated, the mouthfeel is very crisp, biting, and funky with a very dry finish.
Overall pairing: The fruity, floral, earthy, biting, funky flavors and aromas of TRVE's Atla are perfect for the rich aggression, power, mythology, and depth of the amazing "Pagan Fire" compilation album from Nuclear Blast! I highly recommend both the brew and the album.. 'nuff said!
