  • Website: https://www.pugryans.com/
  • Brew: Hideout Helles
  • Style: German Maibock
  • Serving: 12 ounce can
  • ABV: 6.9%
  • Pour: The Hideout Helles pours a clear golden-amber with a thin, white head with good retention and minimal lacing.
  • Nose: The nose is bready, sweet, and slightly fruity.  There are aromas of barley, freshly baked bread, light apple, and sweet caramel.
  • Taste: The taste of the Hideout Helles follows the nose with lots of doughy bread, and sweet malt, apple, crackery biscuit, and a hint of wild flower honey.
  • Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied and moderately carbonated, the mouthfeel is with low hop bitterness and a clean finish.
Overall pairing: The Pug Ryan's Hideout Helles is a really nice, crushable, and tasty Maibock, which makes it a great pairing to the one and only Doro, the Queen of Heavy Metal!  The easy drinking and tasty flavors of the brew work wonderfully well with the beautifully raspy vocals of Doro, the soaring guitars of Mass and Princiotta, the meaty bass of Douglas, and the thunderous drums of Dee!

Prost and hails!!
