Brew Info:
  • Brewery: Ogden River Brewing (Ogden, Utah)
  • Website: https://ogdenriverbrewing.com/
  • Brew: Injector Hazy IPA
  • Style: New England India Pale Ale (NEIPA)
  • Serving: 32 ounce crowler can
  • ABV: 7.8%
  • IBUs: 68
  • Ingredients: Golden Promise, 2-row, flaked wheat, and flaked oats with Citra, Idaho 7, Mosaic, Nelson Sauvin, and Simcoe hops
  • Pour: The Injector Hazy IPA pours a very hazy, bright golden yellow hue with a frothy, bright white, half-finger head with good retention and soapy lacing.
  • Nose: The nose is a nice blend of citrusy, tropical, and floral hops along with lighter malts.  There are aromas of ripe orange, tangerine, apricot, pineapple, mango, very light pine resin, wild flowers, sweet biscuit, and sweet caramel/toffee.
  • Taste: The taste of the Injector Hazy IPA follows the nose with lots of fruity, floral, and sweet flavors.  There are big notes of orange juice, tangerine, pineapple, mango, dried apricot, very light pine, and soft caramel.
  • Mouthfeel: Medium to full-bodied with moderate carbonation, the mouthfeel is very crisp, very juicy, and sharp with a dry, slightly bitter finish.

Overall pairing: The Injector is a bright, punchy IPA in the New England style, which goes great with the hard rockin' punch of the Pretty Maids!  Although the style of the Injector Hazy IPA lends itself well to the upbeat rocking tracks, I also think the can design goes great with the colors and thematical style of the album cover.  'Nuff said!

Cheers!!  Hails!!
