Hello and hails metal maniacs, evil-doers, and beer freaks!  I've got another great pairing for ya today... I'm pairing "Hail Victory", the kick-ass 3rd album by Acheron and a tasty Bitter Victory ESB from the fine folks at Fisher Brewing Company!  Hell yeah!

  • Pour: The Bitter Victory pours a lacing.
  • Nose: The nose is herbal, earthy, spicy, hoppy, and malty.  There are aromas of bitter herbs, barley, rye bread, grapefruit rind, lemon zest, black tea, and soft caramel/toffee. 
  • Taste: The taste of the Bitter Victory follows the nose with lots of herbal, spicy, and hoppy flavors.  There are notes of crackery and biscuity malts, thyme, light citrus, herbal tea, barley, and light toffee.
  • Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied and moderately carbonated, the mouthfeel is crisp and somewhat bitter, yet very smooth and well-balanced with a dry, slightly bitter and peppery finish.

Overall Pairing: The well-balanced, smooth, yet punchy and bitter flavors of the Fisher Bitter Victory ESB make it the perfect beer to throw back whilst rocking the hell out to the crunchy, raw, sonic metal blast of the amazing Acheron!  'Nuff said!
