Hello and happy Friday, rockers, rollers, metal maniacs, and hop freaks! Your pal the Meista here rockin' out to the kick-ass "Disturbing The Peace" (40 years old yesterday!!), the sophomore album by the mighty Alcatrazz with a juicy and very crushable Wylde Juicy IPA from the folks at Uinta Brewing Company!! Hell yeah!!
- Artist: Alcatrazz
- Title: "Disturbing The Peace"
- Recorded: 1985, Disc 2 recorded live October 10th, 1984 at the Shinjuku Koseinenkin-Kaikan in Tokyo, Japan
- Release date: May 15th, 1985 (2nd studio album by Alcatrazz)
- Record company: Capitol Records / Icarus Music
- Production: Eddie Kramer
- Album cover art: Alfie Falckenbach
- Personnel: Graham Bonnet (lead vocals), Gary Shea (bass), Jan Uvena (drums), Steve Vai (guitars), and Jimmy Waldo (keyboards)
- Musical style: Hard rock, heavy metal with elements of R&B, rock, and pop
- Sound: More progressive and not as "heavy" as their debut album, I find "Disturbing The Peace" to be a wonderfully complex and wonderfully listenable album! At the time of its release, the album took some heavy criticism from both fans and music critics alike, but I never understood the negativity... especially if you have an understanding of the history of the individual musicians from the band. Bonnet was at the top of his game here, Vai adds a wonderfully progressive flavor to the bands heavy-duty rock approach, and Shea and Waldo are as solid as ever!
- Major themes: Life, the modern world, sex, desire, lust, rebellion, rock and roll, love, loss, power, etc.
- Tracks:
- "God Blessed Video"
- "Mercy"
- "Will You Be Home Tonight"
- "Wire And Wood"

- Brewery: Uinta Brewing Company (Salt Lake City, Utah)
- Website: www.uintabrewing.com
- Brew: Wylde Juicy IPA
- Style: India Pale Ale (IPA)
- Serving: 12 ounce can
- ABV: 5.0%
- IBUs: 27
- Pour: The Wylde Juicy IPA pours a hazy goldenrod color with a half-finger, frothy eggshell white head that leaves a nice ring and spotty lacing.
- Nose: The nose is citrusy, tropical, and juicy with a more subtle malt backbone. There are aromas of freshly squeezed orange juice, orange and tangerine zest, lemon zest, mango, freshly cut pineapple, wildflowers, and soft caramel.
- Taste: The taste of the Wylde Juicy IPA follows the nose with citrusy, fruity, and hoppy flavors. There are big notes of tangerine and orange, pineapple, and mango with more subtle notes of doughy bread, and toffee/caramel malt notes in the finish.
- Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied with moderate carbonation, the mouthfeel is very crisp, very refreshing and juicy, yet very smooth with a dry, slightly sweet finish.
Cheers and hails!!
