  • Brew: MICHI Michelada
  • Style: Mexican Lager
  • Serving: 20 ounce can
  • ABV: 4.0%
  • Ingredients: Mexican lager and a blend of tomato, authentic spices, and lime
  • Pour: The MICHI Michelada pours a murky and dull reddish hue with a very thin pink head that dissipates quickly, leaving no lacing.
  • Nose: The nose is spicy, citrusy, fruity, and slightly sweet.  There are aromas of corn chips, cracked wheat, tomato juice, salsa, lime juice and zest, and chili peppers.
  • Taste: Following the nose, the taste of the MICHI Michelada is spicy, peppery, slightly sweet, and citrusy.  There are notes of salsa, tomato juice, lime juice, wheat bread, chili peppers, black pepper, spices, and slightly grassy hops.
  • Mouthfeel: Light to medium-bodied and well-carbonated, the mouthfeel is a little thick, yet crisp with a peppery, dry, and slightly sweet finish.

Overall pairing: The MICHI Michelada is a delightfully crushable spicy and crisp brew... a great beer for the heaviness and depth of Yaotl Mictlan's brilliant album "Guerreros De La Tierra De Los Muertos"!  The lager and lime elements are great for the deeply rooted rhythms and cultural depth of the tracks while the spices lend themselves well to the more aggressive riffs, vocals, and lyrical content.  And of course, the album artwork and beer label imagery work very well together.  'Nuff said!

Salud and hails!!
