  • Serving: 16 ounce can

  • Pour: The Business Adambier pours an opaque, deep, dark brown (almost black) hue with a billowy and creamy, 2+ finger mocha head with great retention and lots of sticky, sudsy lacing.
  • Nose: The nose is smokey, malty, sweet, and slightly boozy.  There are aromas of raisin bread, dark roasted malts, cocoa, vanilla beans, light smoke, sweet caramel, oak, leather, sweet tobacco, and rich bourbon.
  • Taste: Following the nose, the taste of the Business Adambier is rich, smokey, roasty, malty, sweet, and slightly boozy.  There are notes of burnt toffee, raisin bread, smoked malts, rich vanilla, light chocolate, dried apricot, and rich bourbon.
  • Mouthfeel: Full-bodied with low carbonation, the mouthfeel is silky, velvety, and thick and chewy with a dry, sweet, and boozy finish.
  • Notes: "Adambier is a historic style from Dortmund, Germany, said to have put the hard drinking King Frederick William IV of Prussia under the table."

Overall pairing: The Bombastic Business Adambier Strong German Ale is a very bold, unique, high ABV, yet very drinkable ale... perfect for the aggressive and wonderfully complex music of Carcass!  The smokey aromas and flavors are perfect for the guttural vocals and darker lyrical themes, while the sweet, malt and dark fruit flavors are great for the melodic guitars, and the booziness if perfect for the intensity of the musical delivery!  Both are total crushers!  'Nuff said!

Cheers!!  Hails!!
