Brew Info:
- Brewery: TF Brewing Company (Salt Lake City, Utah)
- Website: www.tfbrewing.com
- Brew: Ferda Imperial IPA
- Style: Double India Pale Ale (DIPA)
- Serving: 16 ounce can
- ABV: 8.2%
- Pour: The Ferda pours a clear golden-amber with a huge, thin, but sustaining, frothy white head displaying sudsy lacing.
- Nose: The nose is full of juicy citrus and tropical fruit, floral, earthy, and sweet malt notes. There are aromas of pineapple juice, grapefruit, nectarine, melon, pine resin, grassy hops, honey, mountain wild flowers, and sweet caramel.
- Taste: The taste of the Ferda follows the nose with lots of citrus, tropical fruit, stone fruit, doughy bread, and sweet malt. There are notes bitter grapefruit rind and juice, tangerine, orange peel, mango, pineapple, pine, bitter herbs, crackery biscuit, and a hint of wild flower honey.
- Mouthfeel: Medium to full-bodied and moderately carbonated, the mouthfeel of the Ferda is crisp, dry, and juicy with a dry and bitter finish.
Overall pairing: The TF Brewing Ferda is bold, hop-forward, and punchy brew, which makes it a great pairing to the one and only Doro, the Queen of Heavy Metal! The complex and wonderfully tasty flavors of the Ferda work wonderfully well with the beautifully raspy vocals of Doro, the soaring guitars of Mass and Princiotta, the meaty bass of Douglas, and the thunderous drums of Dee!
Prost and hails!!
