Guten tag and happy Sunday headbangers and artisan brew lovers!  Herr Meista here today rocking the hell out to Tankard's "The Beauty And The Beer" (which is 13 years old today!) and an 8 Second Kölsch from Elevation Beer Company!

  • Pour: The 8 Second Kölsch pours a clear golden-yellow with a frothy 1+ finger, bright white head with great sustain and lots of soapy lacing.
  • Nose: The nose is hoppy, citrusy, and bready.  There are aromas of grassy hops, summer grass, crackery biscuit, soda crackers, sourdough bread, lemon zest, freshly cut hay, lemongrass, and white pepper.
  • Taste: The taste of the 8 Second Kölsch follows the nose with lots of crackery, lemony, grassy flavors.  There are notes of biscuit, lemon zest, green hops, and light pepper in the finish.
  • Mouthfeel: Light in body and well-carbonated, the 8 Second Kölsch is very crisp, smooth, and refreshing with a dry, clean finish. 

Overall pairing: The 8 Second Kölsch is an incredibly crisp and crushable brew... perfect to slam whilst headbanging to the great German thrashers Tankard and their kickass album "The Beauty And The Beer"!  'Nuff said!
