Hello!  The Meista here today getting heavy and aggressive pairing MaYan's brilliant sophomore album "Antagonise" and an Outta Line West Coast India Pale Ale from Rogue Ales!

  • Pour: The Outta Line pours a clear, copper-amber with a frothy and creamy 2+ finger off-white head with great retention and lots of sticky spider web lacing.
  • Nose: The nose is musty, citrusy, tropical, dank, and sweet.  There are aromas of floral hops, pine resin, grapefruit rind, tangerine, mango, pineapple, sweet caramel/toffee, a hint of honey, and bitter herbs and spices.
  • Taste: Like the nose, the taste of the Outta Line is characterized by sweet malts and dank, earthy hops.  There are notes of sweet caramel/toffee upfront with bold hop flavors of pine, wild flowers, bitter herbs, tea, spices, and light citrus following along with a bitter and slightly boozy finish..
  • Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied and moderately-carbonated, the mouthfeel is both crisp and creamy with a dry and bitter finish.
Overall pairing: Brash, flavorful, and aggressive, the Rogue Outta Line is a huge blast of hops and malts... perfect for the sheer power, brutality, brilliance, and melodic death metal prowess of the mighty MaYan!!  'Nuff said!!
