  • Pour: The Revenge Double India Pale Ale pours a fairly clear, golden-amber with a frothy, off-white, 2+ finger head that dissipates to a sustained, creamy film with sudsy, sticky, and layered lacing.
  • Nose: The nose is dank, earthy, herbal, citrusy, and fruity.  There are aromas of grapefruit rind, tangerine, pineapple, mango, light melon, pine resin, bitter herbs, and light malt.
  • Taste: The taste of the Revenge Double India Pale Ale is bitter, dank and earthy, herbal, and lightly fruity.  There are notes of grapefruit, tangerine, mango, pineapple, pine, black tea, bitter and fresh herbs, and sweet caramel.
  • Mouthfeel: Medium to full-bodied with moderate carbonation, the mouthfeel is very crisp, dry, and rather bitter with a dry, slightly bitter finish.
Overall pairing: The bold, bitter, punchy hop blast of Proper's Revenge is perfect for the beautifully dark and powerful metal attack of the legendary King Diamond!  'Nuff said!
