Brew Info:
  • Brewery: UTOG Brewing Company (Ogden, Utah)
  • Brew: Mother Puckin' Mango
  • Style: Sour Ale / Fruited Sour
  • Serving: 16 ounce can
  • ABV: 6.8%
  • Ingredients: 2 Row, Oat, and Caramel malts with Summit hops
  • Pour: The Mother Puckin’ Mango pours a very hazy golden-peach hue with a bright white, thin head that dissipates quickly leaving virtually no lacing.
  • Nose: Thnose is very fruity, tart, floral, slightly sweet, and grainy.  There are big aromas of freshly cut mango, along with more subtle aromas of stone fruit (peach and apricot), lemon juice, light pineapple, white wine, wildflowers, a touch of honey, light sourdough bread, and light crackery biscuit.
  • Taste: The taste follows the nose with well-balanced flavors of tart and sweet fruit, and light bready malts.  There are big notes of fresh mango juice, along with lemon juice and zest, light tangerine, dried apricot, sourdough bread, and a hint of honey and soft caramel.
  • Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied and well carbonated, the mouthfeel is very crisp, effervescent, juicy, and tart, yet quite smooth and slightly sticky, with a subtly lip-puckering and sweet finish.

Overall Pairing: The Mother Puckin' Mango is a dangerously easy drinking, tart, and very tasty brew, a perfect foil to the thrashing intensity that is the mighty Evildead!  And what better way to crush a few Mother Puckin' Mangos than with a night of intense headbanging to the kick-ass tracks on "United States Of Anarchy"!  'Nuff said!

Cheers and hails!!
