Good evening hop freaks and hard rockers!  The Meista here tonight pairing "Decadence And Decay", the kick-ass debut full-length album by Portland metal band Silver Talon with a punchy 60 Minute IPA from Dogfish Head Brewing Company!  Hell yeah!

• Pour: The 60 Minute IPA pours a very hazy golden-yellow hue with an 1-finger, bright white foamy head with good retention and lacing.
• Nose: The nose is very hop-forward with citrusy, tangy, and piney characteristics.  There are aromas of tangerine, pink grapefruit juice, pine resin, cedar, sweet malt, and burnt toffee.
• Taste: Well-balanced, the taste of the 60 Minute IPA is very hoppy (citrusy and piney), herbal, earthy, and slightly sweet.  There are notes of grapefruit rind, lemon zest, pine, black tea, light biscuity grains, and sweet caramel.
• Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied with moderate carbonation, the mouthfeel is crisp, yet oily with a dry, and slightly bitter finish that lingers.

Overall pairing: The punchy, hop-forward bite of Dogfish Head's flagship 60 Minute IPA is perfect for the guitar-driven, bombastic, heavy-duty power metal juggernaut that is Silver Talon's "Decadence And Decay"!  I definitely recommend checking these guys out... and why not sip on a tasty brew while you do?  'Nuff said!
