  • Musical style: Death metal
  • Sound: Wonderfully aggressive, heavy as hell, and perfectly brutal, the sound on "Vile Beast Of Abomination" encapsulates the underground death metal sound of East coast in the early '90s!  The guitar work is combination of fiery thrash fast and sludgy Sabbath slow coupled with machine gun fire drumming.  The vocals are a nice combination of Vincent-style growls and almost black metal screeches.... diabolically fun!

Brew Info:
  • Brewery: UTOG Brewing Company (Ogden, Utah)
  • Brew: Raptor Ale
  • Style: Light Ale
  • Serving: 16 ounce can
  • ABV: 5.0%
  • Ingredients: Magnum hops
  • Pour: The Raptor Ale pours a clear, bright golden-yellow hue with a frothy, stark white 1-finger head that dissipates to a thin ring with sparse lacing.
  • Nose: The nose is a mellow blend of grainy, malty, and slightly sweet aromas.  There are notes of freshly baked wheat bread, light barley, light creamed corn, and subtle caramel/toffee.
  • Taste: The taste follows the nose and is characterized by light grainy, floral, and slightly sweet malty flavors.  There are notes of cracked wheat, light cornmeal, and light caramel/toffee in the finish.
  • Mouthfeel: Refreshing, drinkable, light-bodied, and well-carbonated with very low bitterness, the mouthfeel of the Raptor Ale is very crisp, effervescent, yet incredibly smooth with a clean finish.

Overall Pairing: The Raptor Ale is an easy drinking and very tasty brew, a perfect foil to the brutal intensity that is the mighty Goreaphobia!  And what better way to crush a few Raptor Ale than with a night of intense headbanging to the kick-ass tracks on "Vile Beast Of Abomination"!  'Nuff said!

Cheers and hails!!
