Are we a body? Or are we more than that? And if we are more, then what are we? I'm full of questions, but there are no answers really, just intuition, and a strong intuition that we are more than just flesh and blood."

Brew Info:
  • Brewery: Deseret Edge Brewery at the Pub (Salt Lake City, Utah)
  • Website: http://desertedgebrewery.com/
  • Brew: Été Saison
  • Style: Saison / Farmhouse Ale
  • Serving: 16 ounce can
  • ABV: 6.1%
  • IBUs: 12
  • Ingredients: Pilsner malt, Vienna malt, Flaked Wheat, Flaked Oats, Honey Malt, and Saaz hops
  • Pour: The Été Saison pours a hazy golden yellow with a frothy, 1+ finger, bright white head that dissipates to a thin ring with light lacing.
  • Nose: The nose is a wonderful blend of fruity, earthy, sweet, spicy, and slightly funky aromas.  There are aromas of Belgian yeast, ripe banana, sweet pear juice, lemon, orange peel, Chardonnay, cloves, nutmeg, and a hint of barnyard funk and wet leather.
  • Taste: Like the nose, the taste of the Été Saison is fruity, sharp, spicy, and sweet.  There are notes of pear juice, white grape juice, gooseberry, lemon zest, cloves, nutmeg, and soft banana.
  • Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied and well carbonated, the mouthfeel of the Été Saison is very crisp and sharp, yet smooth with very low bitterness and a dry, slightly sweet finish.

Overall pairing: The very crushable, yet wonderfully complex and flavorful Desert Edge
Été Saison makes a great companion to Gojira's amazing "L'Enfant Sauvage"I highly recommend both the album and brew!  'Nuff said!

A votre santé and hails!!
