  • Style: American Pale Ale (APA)
  • Serving: 32 ounce crowler can
  • ABV: 5.0%
  • Ingredients:
  • Pour: The Yellowbelly Amarillo Sunshine Pale Ale pours a slightly hazy, copper-amber hue with a frothy, off-white, 1+ finger head with great sustain and lots of sudsy, sticky, and layered lacing.
  • Nose: The nose is characterized by light citrus, berry, floral and herbal hops, hearty grains, and more subtle sweeter malts.  There are aromas of orange juice and zest, grapefruit rind, a hint of strawberry, light pine resin, toasted bread, toasted barley, wildflowers, and soft caramel.
  • Taste: The taste of the Yellowbelly Amarillo Sunshine Pale Ale follows the nose with lots of citrus, earthy, and herbal flavors along with more subtle sweet malts.  There are notes of grapefruit, tangerine, orange pith, toasted bread, black tea, pine, crackery biscuit, and softer toffee notes.
  • Mouthfeel: Medium to full-bodied with moderate carbonation, the mouthfeel is crisp with a very dry, slightly bitter and hoppy finish.

Overall pairing: The hoppy complexity and drinkability of the Yellowbelly Amarillo Sunshine from Fisher Brewing is perfect for the poppy rock and roll sensibilities of the wonderful "Nervous Night" by The Hooters!  Those bright, citrusy flavors go great with the upbeat, shining beats, rhythms, and melodies.

Cheers!!
