Guten tag and happy Saturday fellow rockers and day drinkers!  Your drinking buddy the Meista here tonight pairing the Scorpions' latest kick-ass album, "Rock Believer" and a tasty and easy drinking Day Drink Believer Golden Lager from Silver Reef Brewing Company!  Hell yes!

• Sound: "Rock Believer" is a testament to not only the perseverance of the Scorpions, but to the fact that they still can kick some ass!  Although the album revisits several tropes and motifs of their yesteryears, the band sounds fresh and revitalized.  As with any and all Scorps' albums, Meine's vocals are top notch, the dual guitar work of Jabs and Schenker is pure fire, and Dee and Mąciwoda lay down some heavy-duty rhythms!

• Pour: The Day Drink Believer pours a fairly clear golden yellow hue with a frothy, billowing, 2-finger, off-white head with great retention and lots of soapy lacing.
• Nose: The nose is grainy, slightly citrusy, and malty.  There are aromas of light, grassy hops, orange zest, lemon zest, smooth caramel/toffee, and crackery biscuit.
• Taste: The taste of the Day Drink Believer follows the nose with malty, bready, grainy, and citrusy flavors.  There are notes of pale malt, grassy hops, orange zest, lemon zest, freshly baked wheat bread, and soft toffee.
• Mouthfeel: Light to medium-bodied and well carbonated, the mouthfeel is very crisp and smooth, with a dry, clean finish.

Overall pairing: The bready, malty, citrusy, slightly sweet flavors and aromas of the Silver Reef Day Drink Believer is a great brew to enjoy whilst rocking out to the hard rock grooves, melodies, and harmonies of the mighty Scorpions and their new, very wonderful "Rock Believer" album!  'Nuff said!
