Evening! The Meista here pairing a couple of favorites of mine: Hoptimum Whole-Cone Imperial IPA from Sierra Nevada and Whitesnake's "Slide It In"! Hails yeah!!
Let's talk Whitesnake - "Slide It In" (U.S. version - there is a distinct difference between the U.S. and the U.K. version of this album, both in personnel and tracks)
Personnel: David Coverdale on vocals; Mel Galley on slide, rhythm, and lead guitars and backing vocals; John Sykes on rhythm guitars; Neil Murray on bass; Jon Lord on keyboards; Cozy Powell on drums
Release: 1984; 6th studio album
Sound: goddamn brilliant!; straight-ahead hard rockin' goodness; richly textured; aggressive as hell; sexually charged lyrics; sexually charged guitar work, bass work, and drumming; this is rock and roll perfection!!

2. | "Slow an' Easy" | ||
3. | "Love Ain't No Stranger" | ||

So what about that brew?
Name: Hoptimum Whole-Cone Imperial IPA from Sierra Nevada Brewing Company, Chico, CA
ABV: 10.4% (BIG!)
IBU: 100 (EVEN BIGGER!!)
Color: Shiny new copper penny; cloudy; 1-finger, off-white head with good retention and cascading lacing
Nose: caramel malt overwhelmed by piney resin; grassy and floral hops
Mouthfeel: medium-bodied; sticky and oily; sharp and crips
Flavor: an aggressive and intense hop bomb!; "dry-hopped AND torpedoed" with hops!; very piney and almost minty with very little citrus notes like other IPAs; you gotta like bitter to enjoy this bad-ass rocking IPA!
Finish: lingering bitterness with just a hint of lemon/grapefruit and very minimal malt
Raise your fists!! Cheers rockers!!
