Good afternoon! The Meista here getting really heavy and aggressive with "Evisceration Plague" by Cannibal Corpse and an Amber Smash Face Ale from 3 Floyds Brewing Company that I was able to sample at a bottle share beer tasting party last night!

- Musical style: Death metal, extreme horror metal
- Sound: The sound of "Evisceration Plague" is an explosive, in-your-face, powerfully heavy brutality! Of the album, bassist Alex Webster stated: "In Cannibal Corpse, our goal has always been to try and make each new album we record our heaviest. That goal was a bit more challenging this time since we were extremely satisfied with our last album Kill, but we knew that by working with producer Erik Rutan at Mana Recording Studios again, we would be able to start at that same level of heaviness and take it even further... Evisceration Plague has the best guitar sound we've ever recorded, and the entire band has never played with more precision and power."
- Major themes: Death, sickness, murder, violence, destruction, evil, zombies, etc.
- Notes: The band released a comic book that included a storyline focused on each song title.

- "Priests Of Sodom"
- "Scalding Hail"
- "To Decompose"
- "A Cauldron Of Hate"
- "Beheading And Burning"

- Brewery: 3 Floyds Brewing Company (Munster, Indiana)
- Website: www.3floyds.com
- Brew: Amber Smash Face Ale
- Style: American Amber Ale
- Serving: 22 ounce bottle
- ABV: 7.8%
- Pour: Hazy, golden orange - amber with a frothy, 1-finger off-white head with great sustain and intricate lacing.
- Nose: Hop-forward, very dank, but also juicy sweet, the nose is characterized by herbaceous, malty, and fruity aromas. There are tropical fruit notes of pineapple, mango, and papaya along with earthy, resinous, and bitter hops, and caramel sweetness.
- Taste: Following the nose, the taste of the Amber Smash Face is intensely hoppy, fruity, sweet, and malty. There are notes of pineapple, grapefruit, mango, pine, and herbs right up front with a solid malty backbone and more subtle notes of caramel, candi sugar, and toasty grains. Although it is very hoppy, it is also well-balanced and inviting.
- Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied and well-carbonated, the mouthfeel of the Amber Smash Face Ale is juicy, bitter, and somewhat sharp with a fairly clean and sweet finish.
HAILS!!
