Good evening!  The Meista here tonight pairing an Apple Gose from Utah Brewers Cooperative (Wasatch Brewery) with "Candy Apple Grey" by Hüsker Dü!

• Pour: It pours a very cloudy golden-yellow with a frothy, bright white 1+ finger head with good sustain and intricate lacing.
• Nose: The nose is a blend of fruity, salty, sour, and grainy.  There are aromas of freshly cut Granny Smith apples, sea salt, cereal grain, wheat, lemon juice, and wine vinegar. 
• Taste: The taste of the Wasatch Apple Gose is much like the nose... very tart, fruity, salty, and grainy.  There are notes of salted Granny Smith apple slices, apple juice, lemon juice, sourdough bread, and cereal grain.
• Mouthfeel: Light in body and well-carbonation, the mouth feel of the is very crisp, tart, salty, very refreshing, with a clean, tart, and dry finish.

Overall pairing: The Apple Gose from Wasatch Brewery is crisp, tart, and tasty brew that goes great with the "mellower" more "radio-friendly" sound of Hüsker Dü on "Candy Apple Grey"!  Those tart, crisp flavors are great for the darker, more pained elements of the lyrics while the refreshing drinkability is perfect for the wonderful melodies!
