Guten tag!  The Meista here today pairing a Weiz Guy Hefeweizen from Tuatara Brewing Company and the wild "Explositive" by Austrian band Kontrust!

  • Pour: The Weiz Guy Hefeweizen pours a cloudy golden-yellow with frothy, huge 3+ finger, white head with great retention and lots of layered, soapy lacing.
  • Nose: The nose is grainy, fruity, and spicy.  There are aromas of soft banana, cloves, light nutmeg, peaches, cracked wheat, and a hint of honey. 
  • Taste: The taste follows the nose with lots of wheat, banana, and cloves.  There are also notes of vanilla, peach, fresh bread, honey, and a hint of lemon zest and/or orange peel.
  • Mouthfeel: Light-bodied and well-carbonated, the mouthfeel of the Weiz Guy Hefeweizen is crisp, smooth, and clean with a bready finish.

Overall pairing: The award-winning, crisp, and very drinkable Weiz Guy Hefeweizen from the fine folks at Tuatara Brewing Company is great for the crossover poppy metal insanity that is Kontrust's "Explositive"!  With their upbeat music and humorous and sarcastic lyrics, Kontrust makes for a great drinking band!
