- Brew: Thunder Mountain Black Out German-style Schwarzbier
- Style: Schwarzbier / Dark Lager
- Serving: 16 ounce can

- Pour: The Thunder Mountain Black Out pours a very, very dark brown (almost ink black) with a thin, off-white head that dissipates fairly quickly, leaving sparse, soapy lacing.
- Nose: The nose is malty, toasty, roasty, and slightly sweet. There are aromas of dark roasted malts, toasted dark bread, burnt toffee, hints of dark chocolate, and a hint of smoke.
- Taste: The taste of the Thunder Mountain Black Out follows the nose with malty, earthy, toasty, roasty, and slightly bittersweet flavors. There are notes of roasted malts, spicy hops, mild coffee, cocoa, caramel/toffee, subtle dark fruit, a hint of smoke, and a hint of licorice.
- Mouthfeel: Light to medium-bodied with moderate carbonation the mouthfeel is very smooth with low bitterness and a dry, slightly sweet finish.
Overall pairing: The Thunder Mountain Black Out from Proper Brewing is a tasty, roasty, and very crushable dark brew... great for the dark elements of Malevolent Creation's killer "Dead Man's Path" album! Those roasted malts blend wonderfully well with the thunderous crunch of the guitars, bass, and drums while the hint of smokiness goes great with the brutal vocals! 'Nuff said!
Cheers and hails... keep it metal and keep it craft!!
