- Pour: The Koala Express pours a clear pale gold yellow hue with a billowy, 2-finger, bright white head with great retention and lots of sticky lacing.
- Nose: The nose is grainy, grassy, and fruity. There are aromas of German Pilsner malt, cracked wheat, light barley, hints of gooseberry and lime peel, June grass, and a light hint of honey.
- Taste: The taste of the Koala Express follows the nose with cracker like malt flavors along with hints of fruit and and moderate bitterness. There are notes of crackery biscuit, grassy hops, light lime juice, and light gooseberry.
- Mouthfeel: Light-bodied and well-carbonated, the mouthfeel of the Koala Express is very crisp and very refreshing with a rather dry, slightly bitter, yet clean finish.
Overall pairing: The lyrical power, crunch of guitars, and thunder of the tribal rhythm section on "Tū" is even more intense when accompanied by the crisp, easy-drinking flavors of the Koala Express New Zealand Pilsner! Throw a few of these tasty brews back and rock the hell out! 'Nuff said!!
