Brew Info:
- Brewery: Prairie Artisan Ales (Oklahoma City, Oklahoma)
- Website: https://prairieales.com/
- Brew: Transfusion
- Style: Fruited brewed cocktail
- Serving: 12 ounce can
- ABV: 5.0%
- Ingredients: Malted beverage with concord grape, lime juice, and ginger
- Pour: The Transfusion pours a very murky, pale plum color with a frothy, 1+ finger, bright pinkish white head that dissipates slowly, leaving a thin ring with soapy lacing.
- Nose: The nose is fruity, spicy, and rather tart. There are aromas of freshly sliced limes, lemon juice and zest, fresh ginger, concord grape juice, and a hint of honey.
- Taste: The taste of the Transfusion follows the nose with juicy, fruity, tart, and spicy flavors. There are notes of bright lime juice, grape soda, concord grape juice, ginger beer, fresh ginger, lemon juice and zest, a hint of red wine vinegar, a splash of honey, and very subtle graininess.
- Mouthfeel: Light to medium in body and very well-carbonated, the mouthfeel is very effervescent, crisp, spicy, juicy, and refreshing, yet smooth with a dry, slightly spicy finish.
Overall pairing: The unique, spicy, ginger-forward, fruity punch of the Prairie Transfusion is a great, crushable drink for the brutal thrash metal power that is the mighty Vindicator!! Crush a few Transfusions and hit the pit! 'Nuff said!
